The Sufi Order of Rochester is organized around the six major Activities of the Inayati Order:

The Esoteric School offers initiation in the Inayati Order and provides classes and instruction in the teachings of Pir-O-Murshid Inayat Khan, Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan, Pir Zia Inayat Khan and other Sufi teachers.

The Healing Order holds a prayer ceremony and offers classes on the principles healing for the purposes of supporting spiritual healing.

The Ziraat is a particular teaching on the inner workings of the mind that focuses on a ceremony using the metaphors of nature and the elements.

The Universal Worship is the religious activity of the Inayati Order, which presents the world’s major traditions together on one altar in a candle lighting ceremony.

The Kinship Work offers service to the community.

The Knighthood of Purity is a concentration focused on the 40 Metal Rules.

The Dances of Universal Peace, participatory Dances focused on the Divine as it manifests in many traditions. Please link to that page for more information.

Zikr is the practice of repeating sacred phrases and Names of the Divine in a devotional atmosphere.

Rumi Cafe is an evening of mystical poetry, reading, meditation, conversation and delicious desserts.  Currently on hiatus.
